TRAINING FOR SELECTED CANDIDATES OF THE SUDIKU PROGRAMME IN THE CONTEXT OF INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY

Dili, 12 August 2026 – Training for the selected candidates of the SUDIKU Programme continued as part of the commemoration of International Youth Day, held at Container Tais. This training continues the previous training activities and serves as a space for young people to expand their knowledge, develop their capacities, and prepare themselves to participate and contribute to the creative and cultural sectors through the SUDIKU Programme.

The training was led by volunteer Ana Fidelia and included an orientation and knowledge-sharing session on the SUDIKU Programme, technical preparation, and opportunities in the creative sector.

Angelo Amaral Suri, a member of Voluntariado IDEIA, presented the objectives of the SUDIKU Programme, including its objectives, activities, and implementation plan. This session provided the candidates with a better understanding of their roles and contributions to the implementation process of the SUDIKU Programme.

Letizia Araujo, a volunteer member of IDEIA, presented the objectives related to the technical aspects of the SUDIKU Programme, with an emphasis on the preparation and technical requirements that candidates need to understand and prepare for before carrying out the activities.

Floriniano Alberto Nunes, Vice-Coordinator of Voluntariado IDEIA, presented the objectives related to the Timor Creative Hub website, including its functions and the opportunities that this platform can provide to young people, artists, and individuals interested in the creative and cultural sectors.

This training is part of efforts to provide young people with a space to develop their capacities, creativity, and participation in the development of Timor-Leste’s creative and cultural sectors. Through the SUDIKU Programme, young people have the opportunity to learn, collaborate, and prepare themselves to contribute directly to activities that will be carried out during September and October.

On this International Youth Day, the training of SUDIKU candidates demonstrates that young people play an important role in shaping the future of Timor-Leste’s creative and cultural sectors, particularly through the development of their talents, knowledge, and capacities.

The SUDIKU Programme receives maximum support from GASC and is implemented by Associação ArtEmpreender and Voluntariado IDEIA at Container Tais, in partnership with NafexArt, IOB TL, Clube Empreendedor, Rádio Liberdade Dili, and Mitramor.
